The 0.9mm fiber pigtail consists of a single fiber core protected by a 0.9mm tight buffer jacket. One end is terminated with a fiber optic connector such as SC, LC, FC, or ST, while the other end is left unterminated for splicing to the main fiber cable using a fusion splicer.
